Role of the Tutor

One main way to feel comfortable with the learning experience is to have a good relationship with your tutor. The tutor is the person who will help you succeed in your learning, give you tests, and record your success. The tutor does this by:

  • listening to you
  • helping you to set suitable goals
  • guiding you to perform skills and handle information
  • helping you to find answers to your questions
  • planning learning activities
  • testing you when you are ready
  • keeping a record of your learning progress

At your first meeting with your tutor, make a plan to communicate on a regular basis. You should talk with your tutor:

  • when it is convenient for both of you
  • at the pre-arranged time, if possible
  • by telephone, written messages, or in person
    • Font Size
