It’s easy to join Solglyt Lodge 7-143 by mail or online. You can find frequently asked questions about membership and many other topics at Frequently Asked Questions – Sons of Norway.

Join by mail – in CAD

This is easy and you get to pay by cheque in Canadian dollars! Download and complete the Membership Application, then mail it to the address shown on the form. Be sure to include your cheque payable to Sons of Norway.

Register online – in USD

You can register online at the Solglyt Lodge signup page on the Sons of Norway website. Online payments are in US dollars. The USD to CAD exchange rate makes online payments about 40% more expensive than paying by mail.

Print Your membership card

Once your application has been processed, you will be able to log into your account to print your membership card.

Membership Dues

Membership dues are set by the International Board of Sons of Norway. The dues of Solglyt members are shared between Sons of Norway International, our all-Canadian District 7, and Solglyt Lodge. At March 1, 2026, the dues were set at:

Dues Category Description
$87 CAD Individual Age 16+
$146 CAD Family People age 16+ living in the same residence and post-secondary students who use the residence as their permanent address
$0.00 CAD Heritage People 0 – 15 years of age. Heritage members require a current Sons of Norway member to activate their membership.
$52 CAD Golden People age 65+, with 30+ years of membership.

Go to Renew Membership – Sons of Norway, where you can choose to:

  • Set up an automatic monthly withdrawal from your checking account.
  • Make an annual payment using your credit card.

 

Renew by mail:

  • you can pay by cheque in CAD$.
  • you will receive a dues’ notice, by mail.
  • after your cheque is received you can print out your card after you login to your account

Membership Dues

Membership Application – Canada – to print/fill in form – send in your form and cheque (more information below). 

As of July 1, 2024 set by the International Board of Sons of Norway

Individual dues – $87 CAD – age 16+ (Int’l – $67.50, District 4 – $8.50; Solglyt – $11.00)

Family: two or more – $146 – age 16+ living in your household including post-secondary students who use their home address as their permanent address (Int’l – $107.50; District 4 – $17.50; Solglyt – $21.00)

Heritage – 0-15 years – $0.00. To be activated, Heritage members require a current Sons of Norway member to activate the membership. 

Golden – $52 CAD – 65 years of age + 30 years of membership (Int’l – $32.50; District 4 – $8.50; Lodge $11.00)

Cash or phone calls not accepted. Payment goes to Sons of Norway, Minneapolis. Our lodge does not vote to accept you as a member; we are happy you are interested!

  • choose between Option 1 (Individual) or Option 2 (Family) Membership

  • membership approved by – just leave blank, as approval not required
  • membership referred by – you may fill in your Solglyt friend’s name or leave blank

  • once head office has registered your application and payment, and after you login to your account, your member ID# card will be available for printing
